Reforestation with commercial species, promoting the recovery and improvement of the remaining natural forests. The project's actions are focused on protecting ecosystems and areas of special ecological interest that for years had been dedicated to extensive grazing, continuous cutting and burning of pastures and savannah areas. The areas within the project boundaries correspond to 1,186.33 ha of P. caribaea, 113.85 ha of E. pellita, 1.69 ha of A. mangium and 7.84 ha of S. amara, the latter species is planted for restoration purposes. For the passive regeneration zones, everything is focused on ceasing actions that inhibit the growth of the native forest, i.e. removing grazing and eliminating the cutting and burning of pastures, allowing the successional process of the forest to continue. Similarly, water sources are protected, allowing the gallery forest to increase its area, forming connectivity corridors.

The Galilea Forest Conservation REDD+ Project Amé, has the main objective to preserve the region's native forests by reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions caused by deforestation and degradation, also preserving and protecting local biodiversity through inter-institutional programs and initiatives, the development of activities that promote CO2 emissions reduction, execution of social strategies with the purpose of maintaining these forests in a state of conservation. From a biophysical perspective, the region where the project is located (Department of Tolima) characterizes itself by having a high diversity of fauna and flora distributed in different types of ecosystems, as well as a large supply of water resources. In addition these forests are part of the priority areas for conservation in the Andean and Amazonian region, since they are located in the biological corridor that connects the Andean and High Andean forests with the Sumapaz Paramo, National Natural Park and the Galilea Forest Regional Natural Park. It is the last relict of primary forest in eastern Tolima which contains the river Río Negro, main source of the Hidro Prado dam that generates and supplies clean energy to most of the local communities

The project is based on changing the use of land from extensive cattle ranching to sustainable forest production systems, restoring natural forest cover, and creating a landscape of biological and productive corridors that produce financial, social and environmental services for the region

The objective of the project is to contribute to the sustainable development of the communities and to conserve existing forests in the territory thought the territorial governance, the development of sustainable productive activities that contribute to food security and the generation of economic surpluses, the social investment in health, education, basic sanitation and transportation, also including the monitoring and protection of biodiversity.

The Puerto Zábalo and Los Monos REDD+ project aims to contribute to the sustainable development of its communities while preserving the existing forests in the territory of the Reserve. This community initiative seeks to conserve the forest through a comprehensive strategy that strengthens
territorial governance and develops sustainable productive activities compatible with nature which contribute to food security and income generation. The territory of the Indigenous Reservation covers 624,590 hectares. The emissions reductions will result from the implementation of a comprehensive strategy that includes improving governance, developing sustainable production systems, increasing social investment and monitoring biodiversity

The CRIMA Predio Putumayo y Andoque de Aduche REDD+ Project seeks the conservation of forests located in the indigenous territories of Andoque de Aduche Indigenous Reserve, in the municipality of Solano in the department of Caquetá; and in the areas of the indigenous communities of Puerto Zábalo y Los Monos, and Monochoa zone that are part of the Great Predio Putumayo Indigenous Reserve in the municipalities of Puerto Santander, Puerto Alegría and La Chorrera in the department of Amazonas. The project area has a total area of 1,436,973 ha at the beginning of the monitoring period. The project aims to contribute to mitigate the effects caused by climate change by reducing 50,757,609 tCO2e emissions derived from deforestation and forest degradation during the 40-year crediting period, which is equivalent to an average emission reduction of 1,268,940 tCO2e/year

CRIMA REDD+

The DELFINES CUPICA Conservation Project seeks the conservation of the forests located in recognition of the Afro-Colombian communities grouped in the two Community Councils that integrate and propose this project. The
specific objectives of the DELFINES CUPICA REDD+ Conservation Project are: to mitigate the effects caused by climate change through the implementation of measures for the reduction and capturing of CO2 emissions, by avoiding deforestation and promoting the restoration of degraded forest territories. To promote the sustainable management of the forests located in the area of influence of the project by forest custodians, by encouraging productive activities well-suited with the reduction of emissions generated by deforestation. To cooperate in the conservation of biodiversity by protecting the ecological connectivity and habitat of those species that are included in a threatened category and those that represent an ecological interest due to their capacity to adapt to climate change, such as sea turtles and mangroves. To contribute to gender equity education by increasing the capacity for leadership, participation, empowerment and entrepreneurship of women within the Community Councils

Delfines Cupica REDD+

Within the Orinoco-Amazon transition zone, seven “Resguardos indigenas” of the Sikuani and Piapoco tribes in the departments of Guainía and Vichada, allied with BIOFIX in the KALIAWIRI REDD+ Project, are working to ensure the conservation of the 358.000 hectares of tropical rainforest forests they own within their communities. To this end, they have defined as cross line of action educational processes in forest governance, entrepreneurship, gender equality, rescue of ancestral cultural traditions, and territorial delineation; reforestation and community monitoring; implementation of renewable energies and improvement of infrastructure in communications, mobility, health and recreation, technification of productive processes carried out by the communities for self-sufficiency and marketing of products based of cocoa, chili, yucca, sweet yucca, pineapple, sugar cane, cereals, as well as the incorporation of sustainability in the use of silvopastoral systems, fishing and non-timber forest products such as Moriche, Seje and Caucho.

Kaliawiri REDD+

Igloo France Cellulose implements all available means towards a sustainable development and energy transition. One ton of its bio-based carbon net-negative cellulose fiber insulation (CFI) removes 1,04 tons of CO2eq from the atmosphere into long-term storage. This insulation is suitable for both new and refurbished buildings. Over 18 months, up to 31400 tons of CFI have been fitted and insures the proper insulation of 39 000 housings. This product offers CO2 storage within a durable building for at least 50 years. No heat is necessary to manufacture cellulose insulation, through its nearly zero waste production process. Finally, due to its excellent thermal performance, cellulose fibre insulation allows for significant energy savings throughout the year, an undeniable advantage for individuals and the environment.
In durable managed forests, growing trees are capturing huge amounts of CO2 by absorbing it in its fibers. When harvest happen, the left-over wood material (other than building material), is mainly used for paper manufacturing. Once the paper cycle is finished, new paper can be made, with the help of added fresh fibers. The Igloo concept uses 100% recycled paper as its main ingredient. This means that the harvested CO2 is not released back into the atmosphere but stored in buildings.

NORITEC Holzindustrie GmbH is a subsidiary of the HASSLACHER Group, one of Europe's leading timber groups. Stall im Mölltal is one of several facilities that produce Cross Laminated Timber in the HASSLACHER Group. The facility produces approximately 70 000 m3 of finished CLT products per year. The facility produces approximately 70 000 m3 of finished Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) products per year. CLT is a recent innovation in the timber industry. It was first developed in Austria. CLT is a wood panel product made from glueing together layers of solid-sawn lumber. Each layer of boards is usually oriented perpendicular to adjacent layers. By gluing layers of wood at right angles, the panel can achieve better structural rigidity in both directions. Because of CLT's structural properties, and its ability to be prefabricated and low weight, CLT can be used in mid-rise and high-rise buildings, often as a replacement for concrete elements with similar durability. Further advantages are the very good insulation properties and the high mechanical performance together with a low density.

Hasslacher bio-based construction

ARE is a company that specializes in producing bio-based construction materials from sustainably managed local forests. The CO2 sequestered by the tree is stored for 50 to 100 years or more, creating a CO2 removal beyond the peak of global emissions. Their process is highly efficient, ensuring the removal of 532 kg CO2 per m3 of timber product.
The company has four production sites in Norway, each serving the local building market. They use high-tech computer control cutting processes to produce roof trusses, joists, and other pre-cut wall elements, which minimizes waste. The large share of renewable energy in Norway also contributes to low process emissions. All products are made-to-measure, so there is no loss of materials on site.
Each cubic meter (m3) of glulam beam stores 532 kg of CO2 that the timber absorbed from the atmosphere during its growth period. Are has accurately calculated the average net carbon content of each timber building element that they produce. All emissions from the harvesting of the timber, transport to the production facility, through to the production and packaging of the products were accounted for in the life cycle assessment (LCA) that Accend performed in accordance with ISO 14067 standards. DNV GL audited the facility, LCA, in December 2022.

Jeffries Biochar has commissioned one of the largest biochar plants in Southern Hemisphere. Fuelled by recycled woody green organics, this plant not only creates high quality biochar but generates enough energy from the syngas to power their state-of-the-art ROSS compost and mulch screening plant. The biochar plant is designed to run 24x6 and is designed to produce around 1500 dry tons of Biochar and about 230 MWh of power a year, while meeting stringent emissions requirements set by local regulatory authorities. The Biochar project allows the charcoal to be brought back to Aperam BioEnergia forests and applied to the soil, where it not only serves as a durable carbon removal from the atmosphere but also acts as an important natural component for soil characteristics reconditioning and improvement. This change of baseline is only possible due to the carbon removal revenue.
